In February and March of the following year, Pakistan will play host to the ICC Champions Trophy. In order to get ready for the international event, the PCB president is committed to renovating the main stadiums.

Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Bank Stadium in Karachi are both presently under construction.

While visiting Gaddafi Stadium today to assess the construction, Mohsin Naqvi acknowledged that none of the nation’s stadiums meet international standards. Nevertheless, he stated his resolve to finish major stadium renovations in time for the Champions Trophy in 2025.

“International stadiums differ greatly from ours; none of our stadiums meet international standards,” Naqvi remarked.

Although it may be challenging, I have no doubt that the upgrades will be finished in time for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Let the [upgradation] work be finished; all teams, including those from India, will arrive.

“The crew of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) works day and night. Providing basic amenities in stadiums is [our] first goal, and we will put our stadiums among the greatest in the world.

For the uninitiated, the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh was moved from the National Bank Stadium in Karachi to Rawalpindi because of ongoing renovations at the location.
