The President of Women Empowerment Demands Improved Facilities for Education and Health

To attain the aim of women’s empowerment, President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasised the need for improved health and educational facilities.

He was speaking at the Hum Women Leaders Award’s fifth edition in Islamabad in 2024.

According to the President, these honorees honour people who have aided in women’s economic emancipation.

In order for women to fully participate in the growth of the nation, he underlined the need for a harassment-free workplace.

Dr. Arif Alvi gave special praise to women and young people for actively participating in the country’s recent general election.

First lady Samina Alvi encouraged women to take advantage of the simple loans available from banks to start their own enterprises during her speech on the occasion.


Recipients of the awards included Sania Saeed, Sheema Kirmani, Khurshid Bano, Sheba Najmi, Razia Korejo, Huma Fakhar, Bibi Amna, Sadiqa Salahuddin, Numaira Saleem, Dr Amany Asfour, Dr Amjad Saqib and Dr Izzeldin Abuelaish.
