The decision was made in the Parliament House at a PTI and SIC parliamentary party meeting. Along with other party officials, Omar Ayub Khan, Barrister Gohar, Asad Gohar, and Ali Muhammad Khan attended the meeting.
The NA opposition leader’s resignation as PTI secretary general was rejected by the parliamentary body in a resolution. The resolution also lavished praise on the NA opposition leader for managing the party’s operations during difficult times.
The PTI founder would also receive a communication from the huddle regarding the legislative party’s decision.
On Thursday night, the leader of the PTI tendered his resignation from the party.
Omar Ayub, who leads the opposition in the National Assembly, resigned from his post inside the party, according to specifics. Additionally, he announced his resignation as PTI Secretary-General in a letter to Imran Khan, the party’s founder.
He made his resignation public by posting an announcement on X.
He wrote, “I appreciate the founder PTI accepting my resignation as Secretary General.” According to Omar Ayub, he submitted his resignation to the party’s chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, on June 22. He added that Shibli Faraz had given his message to the PTI founder, who was incarcerated.
