Today, the Election Commission will continue to hear all of the petitions pertaining to Sunni Itehad Council’s reservation of seats.

Yesterday, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui of MQM-Pakistan, Sunni Itehad, and other petitioners received notifications from the ECP Bench, which was presided over by the Chief Election Commissioner.

Azam Nazir Tarar of the PML-N stated that Sunni Itehad could not claim reserved seats by assembling a few independent candidates because it did not win a single seat.

He said that candidates supported by the PTI got into the Parliament by way of a party that the general public rejected.

According to Tarar, the Sunni Itehad is not eligible for reserved seats because it is not a legislative party.
