The competition asks TikTok creators to make brief, powerful videos that focus on six important topics: using social media responsibly, preventing online harassment, preventing online fraud, protecting the safety and wellbeing of young people, being aware of TikTok’s safety features, and dispelling false information on social media.
TikTok and the PTA hope to encourage the platform’s users to help spread the word about digital safety and cultivate a culture of checking information before sharing it by holding the #DigitalHifazat Contest. By taking part, people will help create a safer online environment for everyone by teaching others about appropriate online conduct.
By using the hashtag #DigitalHifazat and tagging @ptaofficialpk in their videos, creators can enter the competition. The contest’s official hashtag page on TikTok requires videos to be submitted by completing the form, which is available in both Urdu and English.
Searching the #DigitalHifazat hashtag on the app will bring up the page. TikTok’s Community Guidelines, topic relevancy, and content quality will all be taken into consideration when choosing the winning videos. Two runners-up will receive Samsung cellphones, and the winner will receive an Apple iPad Air when the results are revealed on the official hashtag page. Those who are 13 years of age or older are eligible to participate.
TikTok and PTA’s collaboration demonstrates their common dedication to improving digital literacy and safety in Pakistan. In order to create a more knowledgeable and responsible online community, the #DigitalHifazat Contest will give Pakistani youth and digital enthusiasts a forum to voice their opinions on important digital problems.
