Today there is a chance of rain and thunderstorms on the outskirts of Karachi.

The entry of a weather system was predicted by the Pakistan Meteorological Department for eastern Sindh yesterday.

According to the Met Office, thunderstorms and rain are probably in store for the city’s periphery.

While it is currently 29 degrees Celsius, PMD predicted that it will likely surge to 34 degrees Celsius in Karachi.

The air’s humidity ratio was 81 percent, and winds from the west were flowing toward the city at a pace of 10 km/h.

It was earlier predicted by Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz that the province would see significant rains during the forthcoming monsoon term. However, he noted, there is little chance of heavy rain in Karachi.

According to officials, there’s a good possibility of rain in the suburbs and a risk of moderate to light rain in some parts of the city.

The weather report indicates that Tharparkar received the most rainfall of the day (75 mm for Mithi, 58 mm for Islamkot, 47 mm for Dalhi, 44 mm for Kaloi, 20 mm for Deeplo and Nagarparkar, and 19 mm for Chhachhro, 16 mm for Padidan, 13 mm for Chhore, 09 mm for Badin, 03 mm for Larkana, 02 mm for Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad airport area, and Shaheed Benazirabad, 01 mm each).

Thatto, Badin, Tharparkar, Sanghar, Khairpur, Umarkot, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Larkano, Shaheed Benazirabad, Kashmore, Dadu, Karachi, Hyderabad, and Mirpur Khas are among the places where rain and strong winds are predicted today. In Tharparkar and other eastern districts of Sindh, it is predicted to be heavy rains.
