Two people die in a car-bike collision in Karachi
Two children were murdered in a horrific road accident involving a car and a bike in Matiari region here on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred on Hala Link Road when a fast automobile struck head-on with a motorbike carrying two adolescents.
The crash critically injured both riders, who died at the site.
After getting the information of the collision, police personnel visited the spot promptly and started an initial probe.
The dead have been identified as Naveed and Asim.
Police, after completing legal formalities at the spot, transferred the remains to Taluka Hospital Hala for medico-legal formalities.
Further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway, authorities said.
Police are also investigating the cause of the incident and whether speed or any other factor contributed to the disaster. Concerns regarding road safety and the need for greater vigilance by motorists have been voiced over the occurrence.
