The declaration was made in an Islamabad joint media conference by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and MQM-P Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
Speaking at the event, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that Karachi will be the primary priority of the next administration.
“We will work together to find a solution to Karachi’s problems. As president, Asif Ali Zardari would do all within his power to support Karachi. Additionally, we’ll take action locally, stated Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Together, he argued, they could all find a solution to Karachi’s problems.
According to Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Pakistan’s development and building represent their “first goal.”

Alongside Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were Yousuf Raza Gilani of the PPP, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Syed Khursheed Shah, Naveed Qamar, Sherry Rehman, and Saad Rafique and Azam Nazir Tarar of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Earlier, at a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the MQM-P decided to support Asif Ali Zardari in the presidential election.
Following a luncheon that the prime minister arranged in honor of partner parties, the MQM-Pakistan team met with him. According to those with knowledge of the event, Shehbaz Sharif asked the MQM-P to support Asif Ali Zardari in the next March 9 presidential election.
Shehbaz stated, “The MQM-P’s demands are rightful,” as he asked for the party’s backing of the joint candidate. The sources claimed that the MQM-P decided to support Asif Ali Zardari in the election following their meeting with the prime minister.
