WhatsApp, the instant messaging application, continues to bring amazing features for users to make their experience better and smoother.
According to WaBetaInfo, the Meta-owned app has announced that people who use the web version of the app can now share status updates.
This feature allows users to share photos, videos and text directly to Status from the web client.
However, it is currently available to some beta testers who previously joined the official beta programme of the web client. The feature will be rolled out to more users in the coming weeks.
Previously, WhatsApp allowed users to share status updates from companion devices. However, the instant messaging app is now deleting the previous limitation from companion devices which did not allow users to share status updates from secondary phones.
However, this new update is now extended to WhatsApp web which can share status updates from the web client.
“The new update displays the option to share photos, videos, and text, allowing users to post updates directly from the web client. Consistent with WhatsApp’s commitment to privacy, status updates shared from WhatsApp Web benefit from end-to-end encryption, ensuring that only the intended recipients have access to the content, reinforcing the platform’s dedication to secure and private communication,” said the WhatsApp news watcher.
This feature brings a unified and versatile messaging experience across various platforms, catering users who use computers more as compared to phones. Users can now easily update their status without having to use their phones.
