WhatsApp is set to introduce a range of new features, including the ability to view your status from within conversations but the app is currently testing an AI chatbot, which is designed to enhance the user experience.
Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, announced in September that it would be integrating the chatbot into its platforms.
The chatbot uses Llama 2 broad language mode to enable smooth and lifelike conversations. Additionally, the app has teamed up with Microsoft Bing to provide comprehensive web search results.
According to WABetaInfo, in the latest WhatsApp beta v2.23.24.26 update, a new shortcut has been added in the Chats tab, just above the chat icon which leads to the Meta AI chatbot that has been integrated into the app.
With this chatbot, users can easily perform tasks within the app without having to navigate through multiple menus.
The AI chatbot feature is expected to roll out widely for everyone in the coming days.
However, it is currently available only to a select set of WhatsApp beta users.
If you wish to try out the feature, you need to be enrolled in the beta program, which is currently full.
The convenience brought about by this feature will save time and effort for users, thanks to AI.
