World Teachers’ Day being observed today
World Teachers’ Day is being observed on Monday (today) all around the world, including in Pakistan, to recognise the critical role that educators play in forming societies and directing the next generation.
World Teachers’ Day was created by UNESCO, UNICEF, and other international education organisations to honour the essential contributions of educators and to address the difficulties they encounter in their line of work. It has been observed on October 5 every year since 1994.
In Pakistan, educators, students, and authorities will all recognise the value of teachers on this day through a variety of ceremonies, messages, and media segments.
According to education experts, teachers have a crucial role in students’ intellectual, moral, and social growth as well as the development of entire countries.
They underlined that a teacher is the person who guides pupils from ignorance into the light of knowledge and abilities. A child’s future position in society is largely determined by the instruction and training they receive from their teachers.
While students stated that teachers teach vital life values in addition to education, teachers themselves stated that the achievement of their pupils is their greatest satisfaction.
Teaching is a religious duty as well as a job. In Pakistan, educators have always been at the forefront of the country’s development.
In his remark, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that educators are vital to the development of future generations as well as the advancement of the country.
According to him, it is society’s responsibility to make sure that teachers’ honour and respect are maintained at all costs, and commemorating World Teachers’ Day globally is a clear acknowledgement of their services.
