The Inspector General (IG) of Police has formally addressed the purported procedure extended to Anmol, also known as Pinky, a “cocaine supplier” apprehended in Karachi, who appeared before a court on May 12, 2026, unhandcuffed.
Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar has acknowledged the occurrence and requested a report from the Additional IG Karachi, while also mandating a transparent investigation.
Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar stated that the accused disclosed certain names during the preliminary inquiry and indicated that additional arrests would ensue in this matter.
Conversely, Sindh Government spokesperson Saadia Javed informed that law enforcement has apprehended a significant narcotics supplier. She stated that measures would be implemented against any police personnel discovered to be complicit in supporting Anmol Pinki’s network, and if any prominent individuals were implicated, legal proceedings would also ensue against them.
