Seven militants killed in separate operations by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Five militants of “Fitna al-Hindustan” were killed in an intelligence-based operation in Bara, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Sources said that weapons and ammunition were collected from the insurgents and their hideouts were demolished during the operation.

Sources said security forces carried out an operation in the Naukcha region of Chagai district in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 and killed two militants.

The militants had allegedly set ablaze an empty water bowser in Naukcha and tried to escape, police said. The security forces promptly retaliated and killed the two militants, the sources claimed.

The reports said the extremists were allegedly involved in setting fire to many sites along the N-40 highway.

On August 31, 11 militants involved in similar purported acts of sabotage were murdered, security sources said.

Security forces said they would continue operations against terrorists as part of efforts to wipe out terrorism and restore lasting peace in the country.

Rescue 1122 authorities said at least 10 schoolchildren were injured after a van transporting students went off the road near Lower Mohra region of Murree and caught fire.

The van reportedly skidded and went off the wayside. A few children had burn injuries after flames broke out from the vehicle soon after the accident.

Upon getting information about the event, rescue crews of Rescue 1122 reached the spot shortly. Rescue crews pulled the children from the vehicle and administered first aid at the scene.

The injured children were thereafter taken to Civil Hospital Murree for additional medical treatment

Simultaneously, the rescue service firefighting squad put out the fire and performed the cooling of the site of the accident.

No more details have been released by authorities on the reason of the accident.
