Pakistan to continue legal fight with India over Indus Waters Treaty: AG
According to Pakistani Attorney General Mansoor Awan, Pakistan will keep fighting India in court over the Indus Waters Treaty and work to legally force New Delhi to abide by the terms of the deal.
Attorney General Mansoor Awan stated that Pakistan and India signed the Indus Waters Treaty to regulate water distribution while speaking at a seminar in Lahore titled Indus Waters Treaty and National Security. One of its main features, he claimed, was that neither nation could unilaterally leave the pact or alter it.
He added that Pakistan has serious concerns about the issue and that the world could see India’s current position on it. Additionally, he pointed out that the world community was aware of Pakistan’s efforts to advance peace in the current global situation.
According to the attorney general, Pakistan will keep taking legal action to defend and uphold the Indus Waters Treaty. He continued by saying that the nation would continue to pursue legal measures to force India to follow the terms of the agreement.
According to Mansoor Awan, Pakistan uses the irrigation system for almost 90% of its agricultural water, therefore even a small disruption or decrease in water flows might have an impact on the nation’s agricultural system. He emphasised that every Pakistani citizen was impacted by the water problem, which made protecting the country’s water supplies crucial.
Reiterating that no nation could unilaterally withdraw from or change an agreement, the attorney general also questioned the nation’s own water conservation initiatives.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s grave worries and stated that the world community was aware of India’s present stance on the issue. He continued by saying that the world could see Pakistan’s attempts to keep the peace despite the current state of the world.

Binance to resume withdrawals after recovering bulk of $6 billion in stolen funds
The world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, said it would restart withdrawals in phases, after it recovered 95% of the $6.3 billion in tokens taken from the site in the world’s greatest digital crime, which the FBI has linked to North Korea.
Binance said the phase will begin between 0600 and 0900 GMT on Sunday and will include bitcoin, ether, BNB, Solana, XRP, dogecoin and other tokens.
Binance tweeted on X late on Saturday that the other 5% of the stolen tokens are less liquid and may take longer to source in the proportions needed.
On Saturday, the FBI blamed the attack on a North Korea state-sponsored squad known as TraderTraitor.
Pyongyang has always denied deploying state-linked cyber teams for espionage, financial theft and profiteering. It did not respond to demands for comment from its Geneva mission and its embassy in China.
Law enforcement saw members of the unit turning stolen assets into the cryptocurrency ethereum, the FBI said in a statement, adding it anticipated “further laundering” of the assets using related technology.
