The Qatari Ministry of Interior said the country was granting Pakistani citizens a free tourist visa on arrival for a stay of up to 30 days, subject to certain conditions.

The visa can be awarded for a duration of up to 30 days or for a period decided by the booking of the visitor’s hotel, the ministry’s website says.

The applicants should have a passport with at least three months’ validity and a confirmed return ticket.

They must also book their hotel through Qatar’s official tourism website Discover Qatar. This facility does not accept reservations made through other websites and online booking services.

Pakistani visitors additionally need to possess health insurance from an insurance firm certified by the Ministry of Public Health of Qatar.

The government stated travellers had to meet all four requirements to be eligible for the free visa on arrival. No guarantee of entry is provided under this facility for travellers who lack the necessary documents or fail to meet the conditions.

The arrangement is independent from Qatar’s other visa-free entrance and tourist visa programs. Travellers are urged to check the requirements and prepare the relevant documentation before travelling.
