Sustainable development requires preserving a balance between the country’s resources and population, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

On Tuesday, he presided over a significant population welfare meeting in Islamabad.

The prime minister stated that the nation’s fast expanding population is a significant obstacle to progress and is placing increasing strain on its resources.

He underlined the necessity of coordinating population planning with the advancement of human resources, economic stability, and national growth.

Shehbaz Sharif instructed the authorities to call the National Population Council’s first meeting as soon as possible.

In order to guarantee efficient policymaking on population issues at the national level, he also directed the authorities to complete the National Population Council’s organizational structure as soon as possible.

The chief ministers of all four provinces, the prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, and other important stakeholders will make up the National Population Council, which would be personally led by the prime minister.

The meeting was informed that women’s education and economic empowerment will be a major part of the population management strategy, and social protection programs will be connected with family planning measures.

According to reports, a successful national awareness campaign will be started to encourage population increase that is balanced.

It was mentioned that population control initiatives had been successfully implemented in nations like Iran, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.

The briefing emphasized that the National Population Council will assist in carrying out a successful national population campaign in conjunction with the province governments.

The report claims that the tuition center was set up in a house and had no official government registration. The woman was instructing her relatives’ kids in secret.

According to the investigation, between 25 and 30 kids were enrolled in classes at the tuition center when the disaster occurred.
