Intelligence-led operation in Kharan kills seven terrorists

Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Lajay region of Kharan, Balochistan in which seven terrorists were killed under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security sources said on Sunday.

Security sources said that security forces moved on intelligence information, in which several Indian-backed terrorists were injured and seven were killed. The terrorists’ hideouts contained a big cache of ammo, modern guns, other military equipment, two vehicles and a motorcycle.

During the operation, the security forces also razed the hideouts of the Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists altogether, sources claimed.

The terrorists were busy in preparing looting, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, target killings and suicide assaults in Kharan and Lajay.

Security troops were continuing operations to totally remove terrorists in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security sources said. “We will continue to pursue terrorists until the last terrorist is eliminated and we will take all necessary steps to bring them to the logical end.”

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar had a telephone chat with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty,” a statement issued here said on Sunday.

PSX loses 175,000-point level amid selling pressure

Pakistan’s stock market entered a negative trend during the first trading day of the week, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index dropping more than 800 points to drop below the 175,000-point barrier.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange kicked off on a sour note in early trade with the index down 285 points to 174,470 points.

The KSE-100 Index had finished at 175,328 points on the penultimate trading day of the week gone by.
