Sharjeel Memon wants Fazl to take ‘unambiguous’ stance against terrorism
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon says such sad words are coming from an experienced politician like Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He says Maulana faced terrorism himself.
“My party has suffered at the hands of terrorists and I hope Maulana Fazlur Rehman will take a ‘unambiguous’ stand against terrorism,” Sharjeel Memon remarked.
PTI lost its government by having a soft corner for terrorists, he said, adding the blood of innocent people was flowing, young men kept getting slaughtered and the founder of PTI kept talking about creating offices for terrorists.
The senior provincial minister further said that presently PTI is reaping the consequences of its own decisions.
Earlier Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that the provincial government could be formed and run without Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, expressing disappointment over the latter’s recent speech and disagreeing with his stance over imposition of governor’s rule in the province.
Kundi told media in Peshawar that he was greatly upset by the statement delivered by Maulana Fazlur Rehman a day earlier, adding that he did not expect such remarks from a senior leader.

Indian students hold ‘stop vote theft’ protest against Modi govt in London
Hundreds of Indian students gathered at Parliament Square in the British capital on Saturday to protest against India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and seek the dismissal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over a disputed alteration of electoral lists.
The event, organized by the Indian Overseas Congress Youth branch, with backing from UK-based Indian students’ groups and other diaspora organizations, included appeals to end “vote theft” and defend India’s democratic institutions.
The rally was addressed by Dhruv Rathee, an activist who was the keynote speaker during the “Stop Vote Chori” (Stop Vote Theft) protest.
He demanded the replacement of the chief election commissioner through a mechanism negotiated by the administration and the opposition leader.
“It is important that the message against ‘vote chori’ is spread in our country,” Rathee stated in Hindi. “These protests will continue until the Chief Election Commissioner is removed and a person accepted by the government and Leader of the Opposition is appointed.”
