Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with JI Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman during a crucial meeting at the Mansoora headquarters of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Detailed discussions of the nation’s general political, economic, and law and order conditions took place during the meeting.

They also talked about the current state of the area in light of the US-Iran reconciliation.

The US-Iran rapprochement was hailed by both leaders as a positive step toward peace and stability in the region.

Pakistan’s genuine contribution to the Iran-US rapprochement was praised by Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman.

Regarding Iran-US conversations and the government’s measures in this regard, the interior minister confided in Amir Jamaat-e-Islami.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman brought up the subject of Pakistanis trapped in Somalia at the meeting and urged the interior minister to use the government’s effective diplomatic role to ensure the besieged Pakistanis’ prompt and safe recovery.

The conference also included a thorough discussion of how to help the people and boost the nation’s economy.

Pakistan will always be known for its historic role in the Iran-US rapprochement, according to Hafiz Naeem. He also said that the entire area has cleared the way for lasting peace.

Speaking at the event, Naqvi claimed that Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had made a significant contribution to peace.

“Pakistan deserves the credit for resolving tensions in the region,” he declared. “Because Allah Almighty has accepted our meek efforts, we are humble before Him.”

During Muharram, Punjab orders all theatres to close.

The Punjab government has ordered the closure of all theatres in the province from the 1st to the 13th of Muharram, according to a statement issued by the Punjab Arts Council.

The statement said no stage dramas, theatrical performances and cultural programmes will be allowed throughout the period in observance of the sacredness of Muharram.

Theatre managements have been asked to follow the restriction in letter and spirit and keep all entertainment events suspended for the first 13 days of the Islamic month.

Security arrangements for Ashura are also being finalised across the country.
