Punjab authorizes a fine of Rs. 50,000 for disposing of sacrificial garbage in public areas.
During Eidul Azha, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has authorized a fine of Rs 50,000 for anyone who discard animal carcasses and sacrificial waste in the streets and neighborhoods.
A comprehensive strategy for impenetrable cleaning arrangements throughout Punjab during Eidul Azha was finalized during a video-link meeting presided over by the chief minister.
The establishment of surveillance squads to keep an eye on and stop the disposal of rubbish and animal remains in forbidden areas was another decision made during the conference.
In order to deter residents from disposing of sacrificial remains in prohibited locations, Maryam Nawaz instructed authorities to start a broad public awareness campaign.

A roof fall in Charsadda claims three lives.
The event happened in the Charsadda neighborhood of Parang Majuki.
The Rescue 1122 crew raced to the scene as soon as they received the information, pulled the individuals out from under the rubble, and transported them to the District Headquarters Hospital in Charsadda.
In Shabqadar tehsil of Charsadda, a damaged roof fell earlier in January 2026, killing six people, including a woman and her three daughters, and injuring five more.
The majority of the victims were visitors who had come to the residence where the tragedy took place to attend a wedding ceremony. The cops stated that the event was planned for the evening.

PM Shehbaz begins his four-day tour to China
Hangzhou will be the first stop on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s four-day tour to China.
On Saturday morning, PM Shehbaz Sharif’s aircraft departed from the PAF Base in Lahore.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Federal Minister of Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister of IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
The Prime Minister will meet with the Zhejiang Province Communist Party Secretary in Hangzhou as per the visitation schedule. He will attend the ceremony for the exchanging of agreements and memorandums of understanding and take part in a business roundtable intended to foster collaboration between Chinese and Pakistani businesses under CPEC Phase 2.

A Rawalpindi metro bus catches fire
Service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad had to be temporarily suspended after a metro bus caught fire on Saturday.
The bus was totally damaged in the event while firefighters attempted to put out the fire till they received the most recent news.
Each passenger had the freedom to get off the bus by themselves.
On the other hand, the management had stated that nobody was on the bus at the moment.
